interesting studies on the morphology of living organisms have been conducted as early as the beginning of last century. Following the publication of "The Origin of Species" Charles Darwin, there was a great scientific and artistic production inspired by the new evolutionary theories. One of the most interesting work in this remarkable book is the cultural ferment "Kunstformen der Natur by Ernst Haeckel published for the first time in Germany in 1904. The volume contains a large number of illustrations that describe, in perfect Art Nouveau style, an impressive repertoire of organic forms that, although not very reliable in terms of paleontological and certainly forced to support the Darwinian theory, are a unique and elegant formal greatly inspired the production of many design objects of the century.
The cutting-edge contemporary design and architecture are inspired more and more natural organic forms and imitation of nature and its expressions Geometric has become a deeply rooted trend. Among the exotic organisms designed by Haeckel, there are some who, regardless of their actual credibility of the organizations for which they are playing, have geometric characteristics in my opinion more interesting than others, are those of the form stereometric. I am very attracted by the balance they tend to these representations, and especially those that could be the possible transformations from the same basic geometry can result in different geometric configurations.
