London Calling (The Clash) - 1979

Published in December 1979, "London Calling" is the third album (originally a double LP) "The Clash", a group of British punk-rock. However, in this work, the true punk has given way to different music styles such as ska, pop, soul, rockabilly and reggae. Furthermore, the texts relate to topics included social issues such as unemployment, racial conflicts and drug use among young people.
addition to having sold 2 million copies around the world, "London Calling" has received favorable reviews from both the public and by professionals, not surprisingly, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him eighth among even 500 best rock album of all time. In all cases, position location less, is one of the most original rock album and "genuine" of all time.

THE THING AT THE NURSERY ROOM WINDOW (Peter Lang) - 1973

long, long time ago, a visitor of my blog asked me to post "The thing at the nursery room window," an album by Peter Lang, folk-blues singer-guitarist-American I had never heard before.
after some time, here's the album (released in 1973): a delicate collection of songs for voice and guitar, folk-country-style finger-picking technique with best expressed. It is certainly not my favorite genre, but the play is nice, especially if you imagine lying on a lawn in the country, guests of a rural tourism.
personal mark ( poor / fair / good / separate / very good / excellent ): Distinto .

A long, long time ago, a visitor to this blog of mine asked me if I could post “The thing at the nursery room window”, an album by Peter Lang, an American folk-blues guitarist-singer of whom I had not had any previous knowledge.
After such a long time, here is the album. Published in 1973, “The thing at the nursery room window” is a nice collection of songs for acoustic guitar and vocals only, rendered in a typical folk-country style based on the finger-picking technique. Well, this is not my favourite gender of course; in any case, the album is a nice listen, especially if you fancy yourself lying on a quiet country field on a summer vacation at a tourist’s farm.
My personal mark (poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Fairly good .
