BE OR NOT TO BE (THE FLY) - 1975 (RE-POST)

Re-post the album "To be or not to be" (The Flight) (Original Post: May 6, 2007) .

Re-post of the Flight's "To be or not" (originally posted on May 6th, 2007).

We recognize the supergroup The Flight, a band in between 1974 and 1975 gave rise to two discrete album ("The Flight" and "To be or not be "), in a mix of melody, symphony and some hints fusion.
Armed with a core of experienced musicians, the flight is one of those groups that have had some feedback from fans of the genre, that they review them in a musical form more innovative than the pillars of the progressive view Italian back then (Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, PFM).
Today I want to post the second - and final - their record, whose best songs are, in my opinion, "People in love," "Waking up at 6 am with you" and "Songs and Sounds" (with a final irresistible ).
personal mark ( poor / poor / fair / good / separate / very good / excellent ): Distinguished .

"The Flight" is an Italian supergroup (Including, Among the others, former Formula 3 members Alberto Radius and Gabriele Lorenzi) who released two albums fairly good ("The Volo” and “Essere o non essere?”) between 1974 and 1975, both of which are characterized by a well-chosen blend of pleasant tunes, symphonic music and fusion patterns.
Relying on a line-up consisting of performers of tried skill, Il Volo achieved some success with the rock fans who enjoyed their sound – a more innovating feature compared with the major Italian progressive bands of that time (Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, P.F.M.).
Today I'm posting their second - and last - album, the best tracks of which (in my opinion) include “Gente in amore”, “Svegliandomi con te alle 6 di mattino” and “Canti e suoni” (the ending section of which I consider to be irresistible).
My personal mark (very poor / poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Fairly good .

Scolopendra (Alluminogeni) - 1972 (RE-POST)

A visitor to the blog asked me to post again a few albums with links Cimiti. This is the first of these re-post, together with the original comments: "Scolopendra" of Alluminogeni (posted June 25, 2007).

A visitor to my blog asked me to post again Some albums, the links of Which Proved to be bad ones, This is the first re-post, Accompanied by the original comments: "Scolopendra" by Alluminogeni (original post: June 25th, 2007).

After four individuals (oriented commercial music) published between 1970 and 1971, the trio from Turin, "Alluminogeni" created in 1972 "Scolopendra", their only album training would soon come to the dissolution.
an interesting album in the Italian prog of the time, but not enough to stand comparison with the masterpieces of that period published by groups such as Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Le Orme, Premiata Forneria Marconi, etc..
A good album, after all - not "essential", but still worth a listen. NOTE: Since this is a "concept", I thought it appropriate to post it in full ("unsplit").
personal mark ( poor / poor / fair / good / separate / very good / excellent ): Distinguished .

After releasing four easy-listening singles in 1970 and 1971, "Alluminogeni" (a trio from Turin, Italy) Made Their only album, Scolopendra "in 1972, before disbanding in a short time.
Quite an interesting album within the Italian progressive scene of the 1970s, which cannot in any case stand comparison with contemporary Italian prog masterpieces, such as the ones released by Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Le Orme, Premiata Forneria Marconi, etc.
All in all, a fairly good album - not an essential one, yet a record that is worth being listening to. NOTE: Considering the “concept” nature of the work, the latter has been posted “unsplit”.
My personal mark (very poor / poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Fairly good .
