How Long Do You Wait To Shower After Wax

alive and well (Alive and Kicking)

Those who regularly visit my blog will have noticed that a year now I have tended, often (mis) pleasure, to "eclipse" Well, it was a special year, just to put it mildly. One year during which there have been events that have radically changed my life. The post of April 3, 2009 entitled "Till death do us part," says a lot ...
Cutting short, I am pleased to announce, today, September 28, 2009, which are ready to return to racing ...
hug you all.

Regular visitors to this blog og mine must have noticed that I have, very often (and reluctantly) “vanished”. Well, I had a “strange” (a euphemism, I would say) time, during the past twelve months – events occurred during this time, which radically changed my life. Just have a look at my post dated April 3rd 2009 and entitled “Finché morte non ci separi” (“Until death tears us apart”): a word to the wise is enough …
To cut the story short, I am glad to announce that on this very day, September 28th 2009, I am ready to start it over …
Take good care.

Chatka (RICCARDO ZAPPA) - 1978

After posting, May 28, 2009, "Haermea "Riccardo Zappa, I'm back with" Chatka, "another album of this original Italian guitarist. The spring that prompted me to post it has been re-listening, about thirty years later, the opening track of the album, entitled "Emphasis". With his mind went back to 1979 (or was it 1980?), When Mario F., guitarist EFE, jazz-rock group with whom you fight at the time, made me listen to, precisely, a long-playing of a guitarist then unknown to me. It was the opening track to impress. When, about two months ago, I have heard in full "Chatka," I recognized the beautiful "pearl" is that noise "Emphasis".
As for the rest of the album is certainly enjoyable, although after listening to the wonderful first track you would expect much more. However, listen Chatka "costs nothing. And if you are fans of acoustic guitars ...
personal mark ( poor / sufficiente / buono / discreto / ottimo / eccellente ): Distinto .

After posting Riccardo Zappa’s “Haermea” on May 28th 2009, I am posting today “Chatka”, another album by this original Italian guitarist. What induced me to post this album? Well, I happened to listen again, after approximately 30 years, to the album’s marvellous opening track “Emphasis”. I can still remember when, in 1979 (or 1980???), Mario F, the lead guitarist of E.F.E. (the rock-jazz band I was playing with at that time) made me listen to a LP by an Italian guitarist who was, at that time, a perfect stranger to me. I was positively impressed by the opening track - I casually happened to listen to “Chatka” again (in the CD release, of course) about two months ago and I once again was delighted when the tunes of the opening track filled my single apartment.
As far as the rest of the album is concerned, well it’s a nice listen, even though after you listen to the opener “Emphasis”, you would certainly expect much more. In any case, why not listen to this album? Especially if you are keen on acoustic guitars …
My personal mark (poor / pass / good / fairly good / very good / excellent): Fairly good .

TRACK LIST:

1. Emphasis
2. Dumont St.
3. The guitar stack
